Hi, I’m ariana

I am passionate about empowering young adult women and couples move through life's challenges with more confidence and clarity.

I hold integrity at the core of my practice and am dedicated to delivering high-quality psychotherapy. I believe in the importance of having a good relationship with your therapist, recognizing that the right match is crucial for success.

No one person can be the right therapist for everyone.

My therapeutic approach

My therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic, relational, person-centered, and evidence-based modalities—striving to blend depth psychology with solution-focused strategies. I love helping people figure out things that feel overwhelming. Together we will conceptualize the problems and collaborate to develop solutions so that you feel a sense of movement around areas that feel stuck.
I aim to create a warm space fueled by empathy but not absent of directness, challenge, creativity and humor when appropriate. With that said, there is no one size fits all model. Whether short-term or long-term –you identify what you want out of our time together. This could be a combination of things including but not limited to: coping tools, an examination of the past and its impact on the present, society's role in your personal narrative, and/or building a more empowered relationship to yourself. You are the expert on your unique lived experience.
In my work with couples, I apply Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) to enhance understanding of disruptive patterns and the core emotions that drive them. I aim to help you develop the habits and skills to effectively communicate, access empathy, and express emotions safely so you can feel more heard, understood, and connected.

My experience

I obtained my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. I’ve received training in realms of anxiety, depression, life adjustments, substance abuse, and issues related to identity formation.

In individual work, I am passionate about working with women who are healing from narcissistic abuse/relational trauma. However, my work extends to helping women amidst transformative life phases, fostering self-discovery, and helping navigate career and workplace challenges. I am currently specializing in eating disorders.

In couples work, I am particularly passionate about supporting parents of children with addiction navigate the impact of the addiction on their relationship with each other and the dynamics within their family. I enjoy helping partners reconnect and reshape dysfunctional interactions. In the past, I have worked with heterosexual and same sex couples experiencing communication breakdowns, spiritual and religious differences and difficulties managing together and alone time.
